Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Partner with NAND Technology Development, NAND Design, NAND Product Development, and System Development teams to enable successful product development and qualification.
- Set up infrastructure, automation frameworks, and AI-enabled workflows to support system-level evaluation of NAND during the NAND development phase.
- Support controller-based NAND testing, validation, and failure analysis, leveraging advanced analytics and AI-assisted tools where applicable to accelerate root-cause detection and debug.
- Responsible for Component NAND device qualification.
- Drive failure analysis efforts from system level to NAND level and provide actionable, data-driven feedback to related teams.
- Perform detailed electrical and physical failure analysis and work with cross-functional organizations to resolve SSD, Embedded NAND, and Component NAND related issues.
- Troubleshoot customer-return failures and develop effective corrective actions and solutions.
- Develop and implement automation, scripting, and AI-assisted engineering solutions to improve productivity, reduce development cycle time, and enhance product quality.
- Leverage data analytics, machine learning, and AI-enabled methodologies to derive insights from validation, reliability, and manufacturing data and support informed engineering decisions.
- Champion AI-enabled ways of working by identifying opportunities to apply automation, advanced analytics, and generative AI tools to accelerate product development, improve engineering effectiveness, and drive continuous improvement across the organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 10+ years of related experience.
- Effective communication skills in written and spoken English.
- Understanding of all classes of NAND system products.
- Experience with advanced NAND flash and non-volatile storage technologies.
- Meaningful experience with computer hardware; knowledge of storage interfaces such as SATA and SAS is an advantage.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, Perl, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools, automation frameworks, data analytics platforms, or other AI-enabled engineering solutions is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage automation and emerging technologies to improve engineering efficiency and innovation.
- Self-motivation, enthusiasm, and a continuous learning mindset.
Education:
- Position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Engineering.
- Course work or work experience in Python/C/C++, semiconductor physics, data analytics and statistics is required.
Additional Qualifications:
- Effective interpersonal skills in written and spoken English, including documentation and presentation
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, with careful attention to root cause
- Proactive towards continuous improvement and self-development
- Software development proficiency (e.g. C-based programming) and scripting (e.g. Perl, Python)
