JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Senior Software Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications using the .NET framework, with a focus on leading and mentoring junior developers, and ensuring high-quality code and system performance. You will be hands on, involved in designing web applications and flex hands-on vices that expose core capabilities to different applications and user bases, and leading teams to achieve the vision through active mentoring, technical decision-making, and facilitating company-wide collaboration. Core Requirements and Responsibilities:
Essential job functions included but are not limited to the following:• Software Development:
Design, develop, test, debug, and deploy .NET applications, including web applications, APIs, and desktop applications.• Technical Leadership:
Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and code reviews for junior developers, ensuring code quality and adherence to best practices.• System Design:
Contribute to the overall architecture and design of software systems, ensuring they are scalable, maintainable, and efficient.• Requirements Analysis:
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and translate business requirements into technical specifications and user stories.• Code Quality and Testing:
Write clean, well-documented, and testable code, adhering to coding standards and best practices. Conduct thorough testing, including unit, integration, and performance testing.• Performance Optimization:
Identify and address performance bottlenecks in applications, optimizing code and database queries for maximum efficiency.• Collaboration and Communication:
Work effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other developers, to deliver high-quality software.• Technology Expertise:
Possess a deep understanding of the .NET framework, C#, ASP.NET, and other relevant technologies, including databases (SQL Server) and cloud platforms (Azure).• Agile Methodologies:
Participate in Agile development processes, such as Scrum, and contribute to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.• Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for system enhancements, technology upgrades, and process improvements.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:• Should have good knowledge of web applications development and design.• Should have good knowledge of database designing, stored procedures, user defined functions, triggers and joins.• Should have good knowledge of MVC framework.• Fix the issues on time and able to provide detailed information with root cause analysis and issue fixed details.
  • Developing a patch to fix a critical security vulnerability.
  • Mentoring junior engineers on troubleshooting techniques.
• Should have good communication skills• Curious and avid learners• Self-motivated and excellent problem-solvers• Collaborate with their peers, designing pragmatic solutions• Operate best in a fast-paced, flexible work environment• Prepare technical training and information sessions for other staff• Should be able to take decisions quickly.
Qualifications:
  • Have an intense passion for building software and mentoring their teams
  • Are very strong in both design and implementation at an enterprise level
  • 4 to 6 years of professional experience with .NET and common frameworks
  • Can work advanced database magic with relational and NoSQL databases
  • Are in-tune with high performance and high availability design/programming
  • Have experience in security best practices for software and data platforms
  • Design 'perfect-fit' solutions with engineering teams and business units to drive business growth and customer satisfaction
  • Enjoy solving problems through the entire application stack
  • Are interested and capable of learning other programming languages as needed.
