Overview
Mastercard Foundry builds next-generation offerings that engineer the future of commerce. Across our interdisciplinary teams and five global R&D Labs, we create differentiated product and services experiences for our customers and partners leveraging actionable insights, design expertise, and advanced technologies. Foundry is a collective of interdisciplinary teams within Mastercard including Futurists, Entrepreneurs, Technologists and much more.
In Asia Pacific, Mastercard Foundry delivers experiences primarily within the Asia Pacific flagship Mastercard Experience Center in Singapore (one of seven in the world), which is an immersive space that showcases Mastercard’s innovation in action. These interactive experiences are also delivered across numerous customer forums and industry events worldwide.
We are looking for an Innovation Management Specialist to join our Mastercard Foundry team in the Asia Pacific region. The candidate will be based in Singapore but will collaborate with team members across Asia Pacific to ideate, plan, and execute various initiatives in support of the team’s innovation-led agenda.
You will…
• Lead with creative thinking, foresight, and planning for product & solution launches, events, and initiatives.
• Build collaborative partnerships across global & regional cross-functional teams and bring a consultative approach to incorporating voice of regional consumers and a business acumen to explore, identify and define value propositions that best position Mastercard’s brand promise.
• Drive institutionalized knowledge through the identification of emerging technology trends and their use cases/applications that will further position Mastercard as an innovative technology leader in the region.
• Leverage working knowledge of Mastercard business, systems, products and customer requirements in developing fact-based solution innovations.
• Craft thought leadership position papers for target audiences around identified customer problem statements for the region.
• Ideate and develop multi-modal immersive experiences with R&D and technology teams to bring thought leadership positions to life through visual and tactile storytelling.
• Review information on competitors’ product offerings, business models and technology innovations on a regular basis and share findings.
• Develop bundled stakeholder-oriented pitches and establish Mastercard’s unique point of view on how our technologies will help solve our customers’ most pressing problems today and create more exciting opportunities for tomorrow.
• Work collaboratively with other subject matter experts and be responsible for executing the creation of collateral, narratives, and go-to-market guides to amplify capabilities of Mastercard to external and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with organizational stakeholders to formulate and run programs to advance an internal culture of innovation within Mastercard.
All about you
• Minimum of 2-3 years of related experience in technology and/or financial services.
• High interest in technology and trends in and around payments, with a passion for exploration and experimentation.
• Detail-oriented, manifesting strong analytical skills matched with business acumen.
• Motivated to think laterally and contribute ideas, supporting a strong bias for execution and problem solving.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task, establish priorities and work independently under pressure and with limited supervision.
• Managed various elements of projects with cross-functional teams.
• Succeeded in building relationships and delivering results with global, multi-cultural and remote project teams.
• Self-directed in overcoming cross-functional team challenges or communication problems.
• Clear and concise communication skills (oral and written English).
• Creative and engaging presentation building and storytelling/delivery skills (PowerPoint, Ceros)
• Visual/UI/UX Design (Figma), Prototype Building, and Design Thinking skills a plus.
