Due to our sustained organisational growth, we are currently seeking an early to mid-career spatial analyst to join our Biodiversity Team.
You will be responsible and accountable for:
Contributing to delivery of projects using spatial technology solutions for our client
Developing GIS, remote sensing, spatial modelling, Data Management and Cartographic / mapping skills
Working with both the ecology and GIS teams across Australia to deliver spatial products such as habitat mapping and models, remote sensing assessments, cartographic mapping and other technical services as part of a broader, multidisciplinary team
Providing mentorship and support to ecologists in using spatial technologies
Work on a diverse range of environmental projects and programs within a broad multi-disciplinary context across Australia – honing your skills in spatial technology, remote sensing, GIS and mapping.

2-4 years relevant professional experience
Relevant tertiary qualifications in GIS / Spatial Sciences / Surveying (Bachelor or Post-graduate level)
Experience working on environmental and ecological projects
Exceptional teamwork and relationship building skills
Ability to thrive in fast paced project environments and multi-task
Drive to develop GIS and Spatial Information technology skills and applications
Mandatory:
Familiarity with ESRI Suite (ArcPro) for map production and analysis
Familiarity with QGIS
A background in environmental sciences and/or ecology
Experience with remote sensing analysis for environmental applications
Experience with habitat mapping and modelling
Strong report writing skills
Desired:
Experience with LiDAR and photogrammetric data (both aerial and drone)
Knowledge of species distribution modelling approaches and best practices
Experience with ArcGIS Online
Experience working in Carbon Sequestration and/or renewables
Familiarity with Queensland vegetation types and ecosystems
Python programming skills
Strong statistical analysis skills
Experience working with CAD
