The Company

Netcraft is the global leader in cybercrime detection and disruption. We’re a trusted partner for three of the four largest companies in the world, twelve of the fifty largest banks, and 8 of the largest world governments. We've blocked almost 200 million cyber-attacks to date, and we take down around 33% of the world's phishing attacks.

Our purpose and passion are focused on just one thing: protecting the world from cybercrime.

We carry that passion through into our workplace, too. Our people are highly talented, and everyone is valued for their individual contribution, so we make sure Netcraft is a great place to work. From great benefits to wellness initiatives and social events, we’ve got you covered.

The Role

Reporting to the Solutions Engineering Manager (based in Utah), and liaising closely with your Melbourne colleagues plus a wider global team, you'll be identifying how Netcraft's products solve our customers' problems. You'll also be providing subject matter expertise on our services and the problem domain to underpin the success of the Commercial function from a technical perspective.

This role is based in our Melbourne office on a hybrid basis, combining two in-office days per week with home working to support a healthy work-life balance.

Day to day, you'll be:

  • Preparing and running demonstrations and proofs of concept (POCs) to highlight how Netcraft's solution can address our customers' needs
  • Understanding customer requirements, objectives, and opportunities, whilst being the voice of the customer internally to help drive and prioritise requests within our engineering function
  • Using your product and domain expertise to support and build relationships with prospects and customers, serving as technical liaison for the commercial division
  • Drafting and delivering winning proposals, working with both our new sales and account management teams to address customer requirements
  • Identifying opportunities for prospects and customers to expand the range of services taken, based on a solid understanding of their business and the problem space
  • Ensuring a smooth setup and onboarding process for customers, collaborating with other functions as required to maximise customer satisfaction and address any problems raised.

The Reward Package

  • Competitive salary reviewed annually
  • 20 days Annual Leave, and 15 days Personal Leave per annum
  • 12% superannuation
  • 4 x salary life cover
  • Enhanced Parental Leave entitlements
  • Comprehensive health, safety, and wellness service available 24/7 (family members are also welcome to access this)
  • Two paid Personal Development days per year plus access to learning resources such as Udemy and Coursera to support your career
  • Two paid Volunteering Days per year, so you can contribute to your wider community
  • Meals, snacks, and drinks provided daily in the office
  • Employee Referral Bonus scheme
  • Hybrid and flexible working options
  • Regular social events
  • Inclusive culture and environment, where you’ll feel genuinely valued and supported.

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Proven experience in a customer-facing role within the B2B SaaS sector, requiring in-depth technical product expertise
  • Demonstrable ability to build relationships and clearly communicate technical concepts to stakeholders at all levels with varying degrees of technical understanding, from CISOs to Developers to Legal Counsel
  • Excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills
  • Self-starter who is creative and able to organise, prioritise, and plan their activities effectively
  • Team player and customer-focused mindset with strong interpersonal skills, who enjoys working collaboratively towards a shared vision for future success
  • A background in cybersecurity is ideal but not required, however a strong interest in learning and developing knowledge in the anti-cybercrime space will be important. A broad understanding of security, networking, and Internet fundamentals would be very useful.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

This is very important to us, and we actively support under-represented groups. We seek to maintain a working environment that is free from bias, harassment or discrimination and we encourage candidates from any background to apply, regardless of their gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race/ethnicity, ability/disability, age, religion, or any other specific characteristics.

We’re happy to make reasonable accommodations to our hiring process to ensure that everyone can participate fully and comfortably.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
