Our Cross-Domain Computing Solutions Department is responsible for developing Body Computer Modules, Secure Central Gateways and Vehicle Security Products. With capabilities covering end-to-end the complete Development and New Product Introduction process we are managing and implementing global platform projects, tailored for our Original Equipment customers.
Job Description
Robert Bosch (Australia) Pty Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Undergraduate Student Software/Mechatronics Engineer to join our Cross-Domain Computing Solutions Department on a Full-Time basis, for 12 months commencing July 2025 based at our Clayton headquarters.
You will gain valuable experience and knowledge as an integral part of our team. Some of the tasks that you will undertake include:
- Carrying out product development and designing product features/functions for new products, components or systems.
- Supporting the System Architect in the development of product features and functions.
- Contributing to the successful introduction of products into production and assist the cross functional team to achieve project goals.
- Cooperating with project team members on all issues required for successful completion of projects on time, in accordance with the project budget and to the expected quality level.
- Ensuring all development activities are performed in accordance with the companies’ procedures as well as relevant international standards.

Qualifications
To be considered for our Student Program, you are required to meet the following criteria:
- Be currently enrolled in and have completed a minimum of 2 years towards a Software or Mechatronics Engineering Undergraduate Degree.
- Knowledge of requirement engineering and cascading requirements to other areas
- Understanding test methodology and test design.
- Good understanding of Product Life Cycle (PLC) and Defect management lifecycle.
- Effective negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal including a strong focus on customer and stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent attention to detail, be able to prioritise multiple tasks, work well within a team.
- Ability to interact with multiple stakeholders, including senior team members, while also working effectively individually.
- Have a strong interest in innovation and open to opportunities to combine your studies with on-the-job learning.
Additional Information
An Assessment Centre will be held on Tuesday 3rd of June at our Clayton headquarters for shortlisted candidates, providing the opportunity to engage in group activities and a possible interview.
