Job DescriptionOur teams build products for internal and external customers across SEEK Pass and the wider SEEK Group. A Software Engineer is a core member of one of our SEEK Pass Engineering teams who is eager to learn and grow their technical skills. As a Software Engineer, you will work closely with senior team members while continuing developing your expertise in software development and engineering practices.
You will develop software within product delivery/systems/platform teams, contributing to code quality, learning from experienced engineers, and demonstrate enthusiasm for your craft through user-centric, reliable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Contributing to building, maintaining and improving our platforms
- Learning about security and privacy best practices for user data
- Assisting with partner and authority integrations
- Growing your understanding of business requirements and product direction
Some of the technology we're using includes:
- Ruby on Rails and Node.js
- React and React Native
- GraphQL
- Terraform
- All aspects of AWS

- Some experience or strong interest in back-end and/or front-end development, ideally with RoR, Node.js or React/React Native
- 1 to 3 years of software development experience
- Ability to write clean, readable code
- Interest in learning about scalable, secure systems architecture
- Basic understanding of software design principles
- Familiarity with agile software development practices
- Curiosity about microservices architecture
- Willingness to learn about third-party system integrations
- Interest in developing data and application security knowledge
- Basic understanding of cloud services (AWS preferred) or eagerness to learn
