Where the team fits in
This role sits within the Native Capabilities team, part of the Listings, Visualisation & Content portfolio in the Consumer Product & Experience group. The portfolio focuses on all aspects of listings — their content, presentation, and the platform technology that enables scalable, high-quality experiences, primarily (but not exclusively) for the realestate.com.au brand.
The Native Capabilities team’s mission is to “Empower experience building squads to work faster and operate autonomously through high leverage platform technology”. We do this by building and maintaining Nautilus Capabilities that app teams rely on to deliver features efficiently and consistently across platforms.
What the role is all about
- Contributing to technical discovery, design, implementation of different platform capabilities in Nautilus
- Provide support for teams that’s using Nautilus in their experiences (this includes bug fixing, migration, custodianship support and training)
- Create and maintain technical documentation
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
- Support custodianship efforts that contribute to realestate.com.au apps as part of Native platform
- Contribute to weekly release process as build Zar & regression testing support based on a roster
- Learning and contributing to the tech community. We are constantly learning together, mentoring each other and striving to do things better
- Contribute to team agile ceremonies
Who we’re looking for
- Solid experience in mobile software development, with proficiency in Android.
- Proven ability to build and maintain high-quality, performant, and scalable mobile applications.
- While mobile is your core strength, you have the willingness and curiosity to work across the stack when needed, supporting integrations, backend services, and delivery pipelines.
- An interest in contributing to technical discussions and learning about mobile architecture and best practices from senior peers.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
