As a Software Engineer II (Frontend) at SafetyCulture, you will design, develop, and maintain software, focusing on frontend technologies and collaborating with teams to improve existing products.

What do SafetyCulture Engineers do?
SafetyCulture engineers will work on new and existing products that directly impact the lives of our customers around the globe. You’ll collaborate with other team members to investigate design approaches and evaluate technical feasibility. You’ll write high quality distributed system software and use engineering best practices.
SafetyCulture engineers are versatile, able to simplify the complex and remove obstacles so builders can build. When you join, you will work on projects that are critical to SafetyCulture, and our customers' needs. You will have opportunities to continue to grow and follow your passion as the business continues to evolve.
What will you be doing?
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software;
- Investigate design approaches, prototype new technology and evaluate technical feasibility;
- Write high quality distributed system software and perform peer code-review;
- Perform development and maintenance of key system features;
- Create and review documentation and process regarding recurring issues, new standard operating procedure;
- Demonstrate expertise in front-end development and navigate the complexity in handling data and UI state;
- Demonstrate technical versatility, with diverse experience in frontend tech stacks;
- Demonstrate expertise with TypeScript (or other typed languages), React, Next.js, Webpack (or other bundling system);
- Apply a practical understanding of AI technologies, identifying opportunities to leverage machine learning or automation to enhance development and user experience;
- Agile methodology, Product and Design thinking across testing methodologies (TDD).
The Successful Applicant Will Have Experience In
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience;
- 3+ years relevant experience in software development experience;
- Experience working with algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis;
- Proficiency with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Typescript and React.
