Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain critical backend services and infrastructure components using TypeScript and Node.js.
  • Design, implement, and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, focusing on automation and efficiency.
  • Deploy, manage, and optimise services within a large-scale AWS environment, leveraging a wide range of AWS services.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure system health and performance.
  • Collaborate with development teams to provide infrastructure support and guidance, ensuring smooth integration and deployment processes.
  • Contribute to the implementation and enforcement of security best practices across the backend infrastructure.
  • Actively engage in troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to development workflows.
  • Participate in code reviews, contribute to documentation, and adhere to established coding standards and best practices.
  • Continuously learn and improve your skills in backend development, DevOps, and infrastructure management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5-6+ years of hands-on experience in backend software engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure management.
  • Solid understanding of backend development concepts, including API design, data management, and system architecture.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code principles and tools (e.g., Terraform).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on internal stakeholder support.
  • Understanding of security best practices within cloud environments.
