The Social and Influence Executive is a hands-on role sitting within Beauty Tech Labs at Wavemaker, a specialist team dedicated to delivering world-class social and influencer marketing for L'Oréal Groupe and its portfolio of 32 beauty brands, including L'Oréal Paris, Maybelline and Kiehl's. Reporting to Social Managers and Directors, this role supports the end-to-end execution of influencer campaigns across divisions including CPD, LUXE, PPD and LDB, with responsibility spanning influencer relations, content workflow, product seeding and performance reporting. This is a role for someone who understands the influencer landscape deeply, brings strong attention to detail, and thrives in a fast-moving environment where the quality of execution directly shapes brand outcomes. Success here looks like campaigns delivered on brief and on budget, influencer relationships managed with care and professionalism, and a growing ability to turn campaign data into meaningful insights.

This role works across L'Oréal Groupe's portfolio of 32 beauty brands in Australia, supporting both paid influencer activity and product seeding across multiple simultaneous campaigns.

Day-to-day responsibilities include influencer shortlisting and vetting via Traackr, contract and brief management, content approvals, and tracking live campaign performance across Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.

The Social and Influence Executive acts as a first round of content approval, providing structured feedback to influencers against brief requirements before work is reviewed by a Manager or Director.

Performance reporting is a core part of this role, with regular internal and client-facing updates produced using Traackr and Power BI, including post-campaign reviews with commentary on best performers, learnings and optimisation opportunities.

This role involves building direct relationships with influencers and talent agents, with the opportunity to attend in-person meetups and events as the role develops.

What You'll Bring:

Experience in social media, influencer marketing, or a related communications field, with a solid understanding of the influencer landscape and how campaigns are managed from briefing through to reporting.

A strong working knowledge of major social platforms including Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, including an understanding of post formats, relevant metrics and how audience behaviour differs across each platform.

Excellent written communication skills, with a consistently high standard of accuracy across influencer briefs, client updates, performance reports and external correspondence.

Confidence working with data and analytics, including the ability to interpret cost-per metrics, engagement rates and campaign KPIs to make informed influencer recommendations.

Sharp attention to detail, with the ability to review influencer content against a brief, identify errors or gaps, and deliver clear and constructive feedback that helps creators get it right.

Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaign workstreams at once and meet deadlines across a busy portfolio of brand activity.

A collaborative and proactive approach, with a genuine willingness to support across delivery, reporting, stakeholder communications and wherever the team needs you most.

Bonus Points If You Have:

Hands-on experience with influencer marketing platforms such as Traackr, Brandwatch or Market View Online.

Familiarity with Power BI or similar analytics and reporting tools.

Prior experience working with beauty, lifestyle or consumer brands, either in an agency or in-house environment.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
