About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Mid to Senior Data Engineer to join our team and support a key project involving the migration of data from a legacy system to a Snowflake Data Warehouse. The ideal candidate has deep experience with Snowflake, strong proficiency in Azure services, and hands-on expertise with Azure Data Factory (ADF) or dbt.

This role will play a critical part in designing, building, and optimising data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and enabling scalable and efficient data integration across our platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build scalable data pipelines to support the migration to Snowflake.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimise ETL/ELT processes using Azure Data Factory or dbt.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and implement robust data models.
  • Manage and optimise data storage, transformations, and processing using Snowflake best practices.
  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and validation processes to ensure data quality and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot pipeline and environment issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Contribute to improving data engineering standards, documentation, and development workflows.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake (warehousing, performance tuning, SQL, tasks, streams, etc.).
  • Proficiency with Azure (Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Functions, Key Vault, etc.).
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory or dbt (at least one is required).
  • Solid understanding of ETL/ELT principles and data modeling.
  • Experience with Salesforce APIs, data extraction, or related integration tools (preferred).
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD workflows for data pipelines is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
