Job Description

  • Full time, permanent day shift [0700 - 1530] opportunity based in Melbourne 

Our Engineering teams at Qantas keep us at the forefront of aviation, caring for and maintaining their own aircraft, as well as aircraft for our customers across the Asia-Pacific region. Working with state-of-the-art equipment and resources, our shared commitment to professional excellence continues to keep our customers safe.

As an Aircraft Signwriter, you'll play a pivotal role, responsible for creating and applying internal and external aircraft markings for the Qantas Group and external customers. Your expertise will encompass a diverse range of projects, from aircraft decals, signage, and full aircraft liveries to car wraps. From the inception of designs to the precision of installation, you'll lead the way in utilising cutting-edge technology to bring these visions to life.

You’ll have -

  • Certificate III in Signwriting or equivalent Trade Certificate
  • Previous experience in signage, graphics, or a related field, along with the ability to work comfortably in industrial environments such as aviation or manufacturing
  • Relevant Aircraft Maintenance trade experience is desirable but not essential
  • Experience or knowledge of Roland Printers (advantageous)
  • Proficiency in Corel Draw, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat DC, and Microsoft programs is desirable
  • Customer-focused mindset with a willingness to undertake other reasonable duties as required, adept at managing and liaising with customers to ensure exceptional service delivery
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, fostering collaboration
  • Strong adherence to high-quality documentation and reporting standards
  • Proven commitment to safety, adhering to all safety and compliance procedures
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to adapt working hours and travel as necessary to provide unwavering support to our valued customers.
  • Demonstrated high ethical standards and self-discipline, upholding a professional work environment
