Our role:
We are currently looking for a Services Director to join our team in Sydney or Melbourne. The Services Director provides overall leadership for Consulting Services across one or more Objective products in their designated market/territory. In this role, you will drive business operations through the ownership of resource and team management, revenue forecast, budgets and P&L as well as relevant innovation programs.
The role reports to the Head of Delivery and is part of the Global Customer Services leadership team and has people management responsibilities.
A day in your role:
- Leadership & Team Management – Lead and develop a high-performing consulting team, fostering strong employee engagement, career growth, and retention. Support recruitment and workforce planning to meet evolving market needs.
- Project Delivery & Governance – Oversee project execution in line with our methodology, ensuring strong governance, risk mitigation, and successful outcomes. Regularly review project status and reporting to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Customer Success – Drive long-term customer engagement and advocacy, partnering with Sales and Go-To-Market teams to deliver value and innovation.
- Profitable Revenue Growth – Drive services revenue growth while ensuring profitability, accurate forecasting, and efficient billing processes. Work proactively to eliminate financial leakages and maximize consulting opportunities.
- Practice & Operational Excellence – Champion continuous improvement, contributing to global best practices and methodology enhancements. Own regional resource management and provide insights for financial and operational planning.
- Global Best Practice Contribution - Fosters a culture of continuous improvement by ensuring ongoing practice improvement through the implementation of methodologies and best practice approaches in all areas. Works closely with Global Practice to develop Best Practice processes and to consistently capture project intellectual property (IP) for the betterment of future employee, customer, and shareholder outcomes.
Your skills, experience and beyond:
- Proven experience in the software industry with a background in professional services and software implementation.
- University degree in Business, Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 5+ years as a Practice Leader in a professional services organization, with direct people management and P&L responsibility.
- 5 years of IT Project Management experience, leading projects from $400K–$2M+ and managing large teams.
- Strong people management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing consulting teams.
- Expertise in project management methodologies, implementation best practices, and business/financial forecasting.
- Hands-on consulting experience in a professional services environment.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to engage at senior management levels and support sales initiatives.
