Where the team fits in 

The SEO team is responsible for implementing the SEO strategy for each of REA Group’s Australian brands. The team does this by driving SEO excellence and performance across all products to maximise the organic search audience opportunity and grow SEO market share against our competitors.  We’re passionate about SEO and our high-performing in-house team has been recognised as the best in the industry.

What the role is all about 

In this role you’ll be working with stakeholders in different functions across marketing, product, design and technology to drive SEO excellence and performance in our products.

Your focus will be on SEO performance & organic search growth opportunities. You will bring a strong competitive lens and be constantly looking for creative ways to grow SEO market share.

Your goal will be to maximise the organic search audience opportunity, while also mitigating against SEO risks.  You’ll achieve this by working with product managers, designers and developers to ensure they build products that both Google and our consumers love!

This is a mid-level role in the SEO team and you’ll have the opportunity to work on key consumer products to create and implement SEO strategies to grow organic search audience.  

As well as living and breathing SEO and following industry updates and algorithm changes, you’ll be part of a team that is built on knowledge sharing, open communication, diversity, and shared successes.

Who we’re looking for 

We’re looking for someone obsessed with SEO who identifies and acts on opportunities to grow SEO market share.

  • Someone with a few runs on the board – 3+ years of SEO
  • Proficient with SEO fundamentals and can implement best-practice SEO (technical, on-page & off-site)
  • Proficient with SEO tools including Google Search Console, SEMRush and more!
  • A SEO problem solver who seeks out creative solutions and tries out the latest SEO techniques to maintain an advantage over the competition.
  • Good communication and relationship building skills, with the ability to communicate SEO requirements and results to stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyse data and use analytics to compile SEO reports.
  • Prior experience with creating and implementing a SEO strategy.
  • Experience working across tribes & teams to deliver successful SEO projects.
  • Passionate about SEO with a desire to both learn and teach others, loves sharing knowledge across the business and championing the value of SEO.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities from multiple stakeholders.
  • A team member who wants to be part of a highly collaborative team, that encourages open communication, high levels of trust and achieves success together.
  • Highly collaborative and also works autonomously and productively in a fast-paced agile environment
