About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Web Developer to take ownership of the development, performance, and optimization of ROLLER’s website and digital assets. This role is critical to our brand and digital experience, ensuring our website is high-performing, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.
As a Senior Web Developer, you will work closely with the Creative team, Demand Generation team, and other key stakeholders to build and maintain a website that drives lead generation, engagement, and conversions. This role sits within the Marketing team and reports to the Director of Brand Design.
What You'll Do
- Lead the development, optimization, and maintenance of ROLLER’s website, microsites, and landing pages, ensuring they effectively support demand generation goals.
- Own the end-to-end CMS migration project, ensuring a smooth transition, preserving SEO equity, and enhancing site performance.
- Develop and implement CMS features and custom components, ensuring high performance, security, and usability.
- Ensure website performance, accessibility, and uptime, including optimizing Core Web Vitals, reducing time-to-first-byte (TTFB), and maintaining 99% uptime for key pages.
- Enhance user experience by implementing responsive, interactive, and visually compelling UI components that improve engagement and conversion rates.
- Architect and maintain scalable, modular, and reusable front-end components to improve site efficiency and maintainability.
- Design and execute A/B tests and multivariate experiments to support conversion rate optimization (CRO) initiatives, working closely with the Demand Generation team.
- Build and maintain integrations with APIs (e.g., CRM, SFDC, analytics platforms, lead capture forms) to ensure seamless data flow and reporting.
- Perform code reviews and enforce best practices, mentoring junior developers and providing guidance on development standards.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues, minimizing downtime and improving website reliability.
- Collaborate with designers, marketers, and product teams to ensure seamless execution of digital projects that drive brand awareness and lead generation.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously enhance ROLLER’s web development capabilities and demand generation effectiveness.
About You
- 5+ years of professional web development experience, with a strong track record in building and maintaining high-performing websites that drive business growth.
- Proven experience leading a website migration from one CMS to another, ensuring a seamless transition with minimal impact on SEO, performance, and user experience.
- Experience working with a variety of CMS platforms, such as Hubspot, WordPress, Webflow, Contentful, Drupal, Sitecore, or Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
- Expert-level proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, etc), and modern frameworks (React, Vue, etc).
- Deep understanding of technical SEO, website performance optimization, and web analytics tools (Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Core Web Vitals) and how they impact demand generation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues across browsers, devices, and environments.
- Experience optimizing and scaling web infrastructure, including caching strategies, CDN management, and page load performance.
- Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD workflows.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage deadlines, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and balance design and marketing priorities.
- Passion for continuous learning and mentoring, with the ability to guide and support junior developers.
