White Fox Boutique is a rapidly growing online e-commerce store for women, established in 2013.

Our head office is in Rosebery, with customers worldwide.

We are on the hunt for a UX Designer to join our digital design team, and lay the foundation for a smoother-than-ever customer experience. You’ll be leading the charge on new features, as well as bringing a fresh perspective to the site as it is.

The successful candidate is someone who has creative vision, an aesthetic eye, has used data-driven insights to innovate on their work, and is comfortable championing their ideas in a constructive forum. While there will be collaboration with development, graphics and the wider digital team, you will be the authority on user experience.

Note that this is an in-office position - you will need to be located in travelling distance of our head office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design of new features for the website to be both the most usable customer experience, and a seamless extension of the White Fox brand
  • Holistic redesign of existing areas of the site
  • Setting up analytics, including identifying the metrics, proposing A/B tests, and presenting the results, to inform refinements and improvements
  • Using Photoshop/Illustrator to fabricate assets for the website
  • Collaborating with other departments, like graphics, marketing and analytics to create on-brand, engaging and seamless experiences

Requirements
  • 4-5 years experience in web-design platforms (e.g. Figma/Zeplin), especially with knowledge of techniques to improve collaboration with developers
  • 4-5 years experience in gaining data-driven insights and mocking up wireframes using this analytics 
  • Strong experience in designing for ecommerce websites and awareness of ecommerce concerns
  • Ability to think through edge cases and pre-emptively design for cases like form feedback, errors, and interaction
  • Proficiency with Illustrator/Photoshop for graphic design
  • Readiness to work mobile-first and responsively
  • Great communication skills, to break down and support UX decisions for the wider team
  • Firm opinions about what to prioritise and the rationale behind design decisions
  • Strong attention to detail, with a keen eye for aesthetics and visual design principles
