Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer specializing in test automation to join our Consulting team. As a Senior Test Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support to our clients in designing, developing, and implementing automated tests for their software products. You will work closely with client teams to understand their requirements and provide customized solutions to meet their automation needs. Additionally, you will be responsible for test automation management, including overseeing automation projects, managing automation frameworks, and ensuring the quality and reliability of automation solutions.
In this highly collaborative role, you will partner with client teams to assess their automation needs and develop automation strategies. You also design and develop automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks. Additionally, you implement automation frameworks and solutions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of client testing processes. You execute automated test scripts and analyze results to ensure the quality and reliability of client software products. You are also responsible for managing test automation projects, including overseeing automation engineers and meeting project deadlines. Moreover, you maintain and enhance automation frameworks and tools to meet evolving client needs and provide training and mentorship to client teams on test automation best practices.
QualificationsSkills and Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role as a Senior Test Automation Engineer
- Experience in test automation management, including overseeing automation projects and managing automation frameworks.
- Proficiency in Python AND/OR TypeScript programming languages.
- Effectively utilise design patterns and clean coding concepts.
- Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium/Playwright for Web testing, Appium for Mobile testing and Behave for API testing.
- Experience in coding, amending, and refactoring moderately complex programs/scripts.
- Experience with testing delivery methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Experience in the use of existing automation/DevOps methods and tools such as Bamboo, Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
- Experience in using version control software (e.g. GitHub)
- Experience in developing and implementing data pipelines and data stores.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
