The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Writer to own our product documentation and help customers and internal teams understand and use our products effectively.

You will be the central point of contact for product documentation, managing content from initial request through to publication. Working closely with Product teams, SMEs, Account Management and other stakeholders, you will turn complex product information into clear, practical and user-friendly content. You will also lead the ongoing improvement of our online help and documentation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and coordinate the end-to-end documentation lifecycle.
  • Manage documentation priorities, timelines, feedback and approvals.
  • Create and maintain user guides, short guides and admin guides using MadCap Flare.
  • Apply single-source authoring principles across multiple products, configurations and brands.
  • Create and maintain internal documentation in Confluence.
  • Gather information from SMEs, JIRA tickets, product demonstrations and existing content.
  • Rewrite product release notes into clear, customer-friendly content.
  • Lead the development and improvement of online help.
  • Review and quality-assure documentation produced by others.
  • Maintain consistent terminology, style and content quality.
  • Work proactively with stakeholders across Australia, UK, USA and New Zealand.

About You:

  • 5+ years' experience in technical writing.
  • Experience coordinating multiple documentation projects.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Word skills.
  • High attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and changing requirements.
  • The ability to quickly learn new products, software and workflows.
  • A proactive, organised and autonomous approach.

Desirable

  • MadCap Flare or another single-source authoring system.
  • SaaS, finance or fintech experience.
  • JIRA and Confluence.
