MongoDB’s mission is to empower innovators to create, transform, and disrupt industries by unleashing the power of software and data. We enable organizations of all sizes to easily build, scale, and run modern applications by helping them modernize legacy workloads, embrace innovation, and unleash AI. Our industry-leading developer data platform, MongoDB Atlas, is the only globally distributed, multi-cloud database and is available in more than 115 regions across AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure. Atlas allows customers to build and run applications anywhere—on premises, or across cloud providers. With offices worldwide and over 175,000 new developers signing up to use MongoDB every month, it’s no wonder that leading organizations, like Samsung and Toyota, trust MongoDB to build next-generation, AI-powered applications.

Our Product Operations team empowers the Product & Technology organization to achieve exceptional outcomes by building scalable infrastructure, standardizing tools and processes, fostering cross-functional collaboration, creating structured feedback loops, and streamlining communication. With this strong operational foundation, we enable the organization to grow and scale effectively. To advance this mission, we are seeking a Senior Product Operations Manager to drive strategic operational initiatives and cross-functional alignment that strengthen our foundation and enable Product & Technology to scale with impact.

We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in Austin or New York City for our hybrid working model.

Product Operations Pillars:

Our function is built on four core pillars:

  • Product Lifecycle Optimization: Streamline each stage of the product lifecycle—from ideation through launch and beyond — with scalable processes that improve alignment and accelerate delivery
  • Customer Success and Field Team Empowerment: Foster strong partnerships between product, engineering and field teams, establishing frameworks that improve transparency and proactively address customer needs through real-world insights
  • Operational Tool & Automation Optimization: Configure, manage, and automate core tools — including Aha and JIRA — while leveraging automation and scripting to streamline planning, prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration, ensuring efficiency, accountability, and smooth workflows
  • Data-Driven Decision-Making and Accountability: Equip teams with the infrastructure and insights derived from customer feedback, product metrics, and internal data to enable informed strategic decisions, monitor progress, and maintain organizational transparency

Together, these pillars build a scalable and customer-focused Product Operations function that enables teams to thrive in a fast-moving environment.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
