The Opportunity

We are currently looking for an experienced complex commercial claims professional to join our team as a Senior Technical Claims Specialist.

This role is pivotal to the team’s success and offers key support to the National Technical Claims Manager, providing technical specialism to the claim’s unit and coaching and development of all claims staff within the team. Aligned to and proactively supporting the claims’ philosophy and strategy and acting within legislative requirements to support the unit in achieving its targeted objectives.

  • In this role you will support and mentor the commercial property senior claims officers.

  • In Large & Complex we deal with complex and large value commercial property claims (including Business Interruption and ISR).

  • You will work with our broker partners, customers, loss adjusters, builders and suppliers to ensure the assessment and repair process for all valid claims is managed effectively and efficiently in line with jurisdictional requirements.

 

Your story so far

We are looking for solutions focused people, who possesses a technical skill set and would like to apply it within our complex and large value commercial property claims function.

  • Extensive experience in handling large and complex Commercial Property Claims (value $1m+)

  • Must have ISR claims experience

  • Be self-motivated and confident who can maintain these levels of excellence through times of change and show resilience in the face of a challenge.

  • A strong focus on applying your current skills to improve the performance of the overall end-to-end claims management function.

  • A highly empathetic and supportive approach to dealing with customers, possessing the ability to be friendly yet professional

  • Previous experience coaching or leading a team.
