Job DescriptionThe Senior Systems Specialist is a highly collaborative role working with various members in the People Technology (P&C) & Insights team, the broader P&C, cross-functional teams as well as with third-party vendors.
The primary purpose of this role, with an APAC focus, is to fully participate in the planning, delivery and support of HCM technology solutions across the P&C function. This is an important step in our transformation journey as we look to enhance our capabilities in this space, manage multiple stakeholders and collaborate effectively across the functions of Finance and Technology.
Key responsibilities
- Understand and maintain the overall P&C technology eco-system in partnership with the Finance and Technology teams, as well as the various third-party vendors (including the Application Management Services provider)
- Serve as a strong consultative partner within the P&C function and with business stakeholders, to continuously improve service delivery, including facilitation and requirements gathering while serving as a subject matter expert on Workday’s capabilities
- Apply strong Workday functional design and configuration capabilities and strong configuration capability in modules like Absence, Core HCM, Compensation and Advanced Compensation
- Fully participate in all areas of prioritising, delivery, including the application of the continuous improvement framework to the existing business processes
- Key contributor in the delivery of the overall P&C Technology roadmap
- Effective problem solving and managing defect resolutions, triaging and escalations
- Develop and lead policy/ process training, promote continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the team and stakeholders and assist in testing integrations and security features.
- Several years experience configuring Workday to business requirements
- Experience in Compensation, Absence and Core is desired
- Workday HCM training and certification/s, with a ‘hands-on’ solution delivery
- Evaluation of new releases and functionality for optimisation opportunities, configure and implement business process changes in Workday
- Strong attention to detail and planning capability, with ability to manage competing priorities, deadlines and coordinate with a variety of stakeholders
- Ability to facilitate and gather business requirements, user needs and translate them into pragmatic digital solutions
- Effective interpersonal and influencing skills, including demonstrated experience in relationship building and collaborating with stakeholders across geographies.
