The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to support complex projects across various geographies and sectors. This role will allow you to lead in your area of expertise but also be a team player and support colleagues. This is a unique opportunity to further develop your skills and knowledge in Model Based Systems Engineering, applying the principles with current clients.
Working across a broad range of areas and levels within the organisation you will establish high levels of interaction with many different stakeholders, clients, suppliers and industry leaders.
You will join an experienced and supportive team based in Melbourne and Sydney, working on transport and defence projects across Australia, who are passionate about innovation and providing training and support to enable you to develop professional skills and competencies.

Who are you?
You will have a strong understanding of client needs and strive to achieve a high level of client satisfaction. At this level, you will build KBR’s professional reputation for market leading systems engineering capabilities whilst demonstrating innovation within the systems engineering environment. You will have significant experience across core areas of SE and exposure to delivering MBSE in live environments. Being a chartered engineer is preferred but we will consider someone working towards this qualification.
As the Senior Systems Engineer with an emphasis on the Systems Architecture/Modelling domain you will be required to have the following:
- Experienced in the application of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts in Project delivery
- Skilled in developing system architectures using MBSE tools (i.e. Capella, IBM Rational Rhapsody, Cameo Systems Modeler, Sparx Enterprise Architect, or similar)
- Knowledge of Systems Modelling Language (SysML), highly regarded
- Knowledge of ISO 15288, ISO 12207, EIA-632 standards
- Verification and Validation
- Configuration Management
- Systems Integration
- Interface Management
- Ability to read and interpret design data and documentation
