The role / impact
As the Senior Strategic Finance Associate for GTM Finance, you will be the central point of contact for Customer Acquisition Costs (CAC) at Xero. You will own the consolidation and reporting of global spend, ensuring our investments remain within agreed guardrails while surfacing critical risks and opportunities to senior leadership. By partnering with global and regional teams, you will provide the insights needed to shape our strategy and ensure capital is allocated toward the areas with the highest return on investment.
Your work will drive a step-change in how we approach cost planning and reporting frameworks. You will move the conversation from simple cost monitoring to true value creation, turning complex data into actionable recommendations that empower our leaders to make informed, high-impact decisions. This role is about more than just numbers; it is about championing continuous improvement and driving consistency across our global markets to build a stronger, more efficient economy.
The team / how they connect
You will join the GTM Finance team, working in close partnership with both Global and Regional finance counterparts to create a single, reliable source of truth for our expenditure. The team operates as a coordinated unit, collaborating across divisions like the Global Partner Channel to align financial strategy with business performance. Together, we focus on transparency and diverse perspectives to ensure our financial planning evolves alongside the changing requirements of the business.
The team is currently working on / Initially, you will focus on
Consolidating the Global CAC budget and forecast while partnering with finance counterparts to size and model initiatives that uplift business performance.
Transforming our manual processes into a standardised, consistent global approach for cost planning and reporting.
Utilising tools such as Adaptive Planning, Anaplan, or Tableau to manage data and deliver regular insights.
Mentoring junior team members and upskilling the broader group in best-practice cost management and analysis.

Here are some of the things we are looking for
You bring a wealth of experience in senior finance business partnering, specifically with a focus on cost management and managing expenses.
Your background includes a proven ability to cut through noise and surface actionable insights for executive briefings or board-level discussions.
You possess advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for complex data manipulation and analysis.
A proactive approach is part of your toolkit, allowing you to navigate ambiguity and recommend next steps without needing close direction.
You have a keen eye for detail and the communication skills to articulate the story behind the numbers to various stakeholders.
An understanding of the SaaS business model and metrics like ARR, LTV, and CAC would be highly beneficial to your success in this role.
