NTT DATA is looking for a Software Lifecycle Specialist to join our team.
The Software Lifecycle Specialist (SLS) plays a crucial role in managing the software agreement lifecycle for our clients, with a primary focus on Microsoft. This position involves building and nurturing internal and external relationships with key stakeholders, advocating and advising clients throughout the duration of their agreement to ensure they realize value from their investment. Additionally, the SLS will work to maximize NTT Data’s profitability through vendor programmatic funding mechanisms.
Additionally, the SLS will be required to demonstrate the following:
Client Understanding: A deep understanding of assigned client’s strategic objectives is crucial.
Stakeholder Management: Excel in managing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure service excellence.
Subject Matter Expertise (SME): The SLS needs to be knowledgeable in software technologies and licensing programs from key vendors, particularly Microsoft.
Success Planning: Collaborating with clients to develop success plans that maximize value of their software investments and increase technology adoption and usage.

Job Description

The Software Lifecycle Specialist (SLS) is responsible for executing client-facing activities through the technology adoption and expansion of the client software agreements.

The SLS collaborates with NTT Data’s Software Sales Specialist, Client Managers/Partners, GTM practice, and vendor stakeholders to advocate on behalf of and support client success.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop and execute technology adoption programs in consultation with Software Sales Specialists and GTM Practice.
  • Work closely with Presales, Consulting, and Technical Services team members to ensure effective client engagement, leveraging resources as needed.
  • Agree and implement a structured Governance Framework with the client, capturing key success criteria that will be covered in the meeting cadence.
  • Maintain a good understanding of the vendor (Microsoft) incentive programs and be accountable for realizing vendor incentives associated with technology adoption.
  • Facilitate client technology roadmap workshops, engaging appropriate technical resources.
  • Provide Market Intelligence insights to clients (including industry insights and technology trends) and highlight NTT’s expertise and differentiated offerings.
  • Identify and register co-sell opportunities to upsell, cross-sell, and expand software and NTT Data Services.
  • Report success metrics back to NTT Data stakeholders.
  • Document client case studies and Win Wires for adoption and lifecycle management success stories.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular business reviews with clients to ensure alignment with their strategic goals.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape to better position NTT’s offerings.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in software licensing and agreements.
  • Participate in continuous professional development to stay current with industry trends and best practices.
  • Identify client eligibility for available funding through various Microsoft programs such as MCI, ECIF etc
  • Deliver Presales Microsoft workshops
  • Work with client to obtain Proof of Execution/Delivery of workshops
  • Submit claims to Microsoft for delivered workshops​

What Makes You A Good Fit?

Experience

  • Has a strong understanding of Microsoft Software Programs, technology, and key licensing schemes to facilitate proactive and credible client discussions.
  • Seasoned experience in sales and/or client success engagements within a commercial service offering environment.
  • Experience with and an understanding of agreement lifecycle stages.
  • Demonstrated experience in proactive engagement with clients to support the Sales Specialist achieve on time renewals and maximise growth opportunities.

  • Ability to interpret a client’s business strategy and objectives to understand opportunities for NTT Data solutions and services.
  • Knowledge of vendor technology including core functionality & features, and ability to link this knowledge to NTT Data’s service portfolio.
  • Strong consultative and negotiation skills with the ability to identify growth and expansion opportunities.
  • Develops an understanding of NTT’s high-level operating model and is able to develop and maintain relationships across relevant cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) coupled with good questioning skills.
  • Demonstrates leadership skills and drives standards of performance.
  • Strategic thinking ability coupled with strong planning and execution skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex data/reports, derive business insights, and define relevant operating responses.
  • Develops a deep understanding of NTT Data services and commercial service offerings available.
  • Develops an understanding of NTT Data’s approach to Software Lifecycle Management.
  • Undertakes continuous development to stay across the vendor programs and funding mechanisms to ensure NTT Data can support the client adoption strategy, whilst maximising NTT Data’s profitability.

Education and Training

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business management or related field.
  • Certification and working knowledge of ITIL practices.
  • Additional relevant vendor certifications would be advantageous.
