As a Senior Software Engineer at CBA, you’ll lead the development of RESTful APIs using Python (FastAPI), architect microservices aligned with best practices, and build robust CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Artifactory, TeamCity, and Octopus. You’ll also drive DevSecOps initiatives, embedding security and observability throughout the development lifecycle, and lead cloud migration and deployment efforts in AWS or Azure environments.

This role is embedded within the Legal Technology domain, where your contributions will help deliver innovative legal tech solutions. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies to deliver high-impact applications that support legal operations and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Python (FastAPI).
Architect and implement microservices following best practices and design patterns.
Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Artifactory, Teamcity and Octopus.
Drive DevSecOps initiatives, embedding security and observability into the development lifecycle.
Lead cloud migration and deployment efforts, preferably in AWS or Azure environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies to deliver legal tech solutions.
Analyse and process structured and unstructured datasets to support intelligent application features.
Apply Gen AI knowledge to enhance application capabilities and user experience.

Skills Required:
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team;
Proficiency in Python and JavaScript.
Strong experience with REST API development and integration.
Hands-on experience with DevSecOps tooling, including CI/CD and observability platforms.
Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), including deployment and migration.
Solid understanding of DevSecOps/SRE best practices.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
