The Role
Cash App's Financial Platform (Finplat) team is responsible for building systems that power products built by Cash App. We build deep integrations with underlying financial infrastructures and ensure that our products are able to scale.
The Money Infrastructure team (within Finplat) is responsible for core capabilities, including ledgering, reporting and inventory management, pricing, reconciliation (recon), settlements and treasury management. These systems are essential to tracking and managing the flow of funds, providing precision at scale, and enabling seamless financial operations for millions of customers worldwide.
Your team will focus on building robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure that powers key financial workflows-accurately tracking and managing funds across various accounts, and ensuring timely and accurate settlements. From maintaining ledger accuracy to optimising treasury systems and reconciliation pipelines, your leadership will enable Cash App to deliver a seamless, trustworthy, and compliant money movement experience for our customers.
Working cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, data teams, and finance stakeholders - you will define the team's vision, roadmap, and technical strategy. The systems you and your team build will directly influence Cash App's ability to scale financial services, unlock new product opportunities, and ensure operational excellence.

Primarily, we're responsible for designing, building, and supporting the Treasury Management System which settles internal money movements automatically and stores those funds redundantly, in an accurate, transparent, traceable and scalable way.
You Will
- Design, build and support the systems which manage the Cash App treasury.
- Tackle complex technical challenges creatively and effectively; balancing competing priorities.
- Own delivery at all stages: from design and architecture through to implementation and testing.
- Partner closely with product managers, data analysts, and business leads to help define our roadmap and ensure alignment across teams and stakeholders.
- Have autonomy to research and achieve outcomes with support when you need it.
- Contribute to the growth of our development capability through leading, mentoring, and supporting fellow engineers.
You Have
- 5+ years experience building and operating quality software.
- Demonstrated technical initiative on previous projects.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally, collaborating with diverse stakeholders and adapting to evolving priorities.
- A product and customer-focussed mindset.
- Natural curiosity to learn new technologies, solve interesting problems and build quality software.
- Desire to perform and grow as an engineer.
