The transportation industry has no shortage of complex problems requiring creative solutions to scale efficiently. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and operating the software that interacts with APIs both our own and that of SaaS solutions. You will work closely with the Mastery IT, Operations, Security, and Software Engineering teams to develop secure scalable solutions that allow all these parties to communicate and work together.Responsibilities:

Our customers - large transportation companies and shippers who need those companies - have struggled with systems that are outdated or inadequate. As shippers or transportation service providers, our customers have in the past been forced to use multiple systems to manage dedicated fleet operations, outsourced or insourced trans management, one way trucking, truckload brokerage, LTL, and Intermodal, or to sub-optimize one or more of those functions by attempting to fit it into a TMS that is adequate at another function.

About the Role:

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and operating the software that interacts with APIs both our own and that of SaaS solutions. You will work closely with the Mastery IT, Operations, Security, and Software Engineering teams to develop secure scalable solutions that allow all these parties to communicate and work together.Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and support internal shared client libraries to be used by software engineering teams
- Develop and support Mastermind's Cost Reporting Service, Tokenization service, and other interesting software projects
- Collaborate with engineering and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud, and event driven solutions
- Assist in the design, development and support integration solutions between internal and 3 rd party SaaS tooling
- Collaborate with the Cloud Engineering team to produce tooling solutions to enable software engineering teams
- Assist in reviewing existing systems and make recommendations for improvements
- Work as part of a team to help others learn and grow
Requirements:
- Some experience focused on cloud architecture, software, operations, DevOps, or administration
- Some experience with cloud automation and scripting (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible)
- Experience in containerization and management tools such as Kubernetes or Docker Swarm
- Experience in at least one or more programming languages, (preferred: C#, node.js, and/or Typescript)
- Experience with continuous integration, delivery, desired state processes tools and constraints
- Some experience with GraphQL and API Gateways
Nice to Have:
- Experience with infrastructure as code building CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with SQL and RDBMS, NoSQL technologies a plus
- Preferred AWS, Azure, GCP cloud computing certifications or equivalent coursework
