The Opportunity: Join Our FX Platform Team
The FX team sits at the core of Airwallex’s global platform, powering seamless currency conversion for our customers and internal systems. We build and run the infrastructure behind instantaneous and scheduled FX, guaranteed pricing, and intelligent internalisation and netting to optimise cost and liquidity. Our work spans everything from real-time pricing and risk management to developing FX products like limit orders, forwards, and multi-leg conversion flows. We combine low-latency systems with smart pricing strategies to deliver competitive, reliable FX at scale. This capability underpins key parts of our business from global payments and collections to broader fintech use cases across our platform.
As part of this, we’re looking for a web front-end engineer to lead the design and development of user-facing FX functionality. This includes building secure, performant, and intuitive web interfaces for pricing, risk management, trade execution, and new FX product workflows such as forwards and limit orders. You’ll work closely with product and back-end teams to deliver clean, reliable experiences that make complex currency trading and risk management feel fast, simple, and transparent for users.
What You’ll Do
Coding with the latest version of React and Typescript to build high-quality products
Build micro FE web applications with domain-based design architecture and seamless integration by using a single SPA framework and best practices
Leverage Apollo GraphQL as the backend for frontend(BFF) to build scalable and high-performance node service with simple and contact-based integration with backend
Cooperate with the design team to build a design system and common components, provide universal UI / UX experience across different domain teams, benchmark material-ui and ant design
Deliver NPM package and library widgets with open source project to easy client integration
Leverage GCP & Aliyun K8S / Bucket CDN and Cloudflare to deploy micro FE and node.js service with GitLab CICD best practices
Adopt React testing library/test render / cypress to design high-quality unit test and e2e test with 80%+ coverage
Using contentful and next.js to build nocode / serverless CMS system for corpsite & branding landing pages
Actively engage with frontend guild, research cutting edge technologies, and drive initiatives to build high-quality products and clean up techdebts
Who You Are
Have more than 5 years of front-end development experience and more than 2 years of front-end architecture experience
Have experience in developing large-scale financial web systems
Have a computer science or related major, bachelor degree or above
Fluent in English
Proficient in HTML5 / CSS3 / ECMAScript 6 + / TypeScript
Proficient in React, VUE, Angular and corresponding technology stack
Emotion, Styled-Component, SCSS
Familiar with Material UI, Ant Design, Bootstrap 3 or other CSS frameworks
Familiar with HTTP (s) protocol and RESTful specifications;
Familiar with Webpack, Polyfill, Rollup.js
Familiar with building BFF using node.js
You are interested in beyond frontend technologies, including design systems, server-side development, and data analytics
Clear communicator who works well across engineering, product, and non-technical teams
Bonus: experience in FX, payments, or financial infrastructure is useful but not required

Compensation Range: SGD 170K - SGD 240K
