Join the Homepass Squad and step into a strategic full stack engineering role dedicated to perfecting the property inspection and open home experience for agents and their customers. This is your chance to contribute at all levels to the development of a critical product within our Agent-facing workflow and SaaS portfolio, directly supporting our Domain Strategy.
You'll move beyond mere code contribution to architecting robust, scalable solutions and championing engineering best practices. Leveraging your expertise in React Native, TypeScript, and Node.js, you will not only build and operate the Homepass product but also mentor junior team members, drive initiatives to reduce manual toil (TOIL), and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our solutions deliver maximum customer value. This position offers the scope to innovate with emerging technologies and significantly impact the efficiency and professionalism of thousands of agents.
What Success Looks LikeArchitectural Excellence: Architecting solutions and building high-quality, scalable, reliable, and performant solutions in collaboration with the team.
Engineering Leadership: Actively mentoring junior engineers in solution design, building high-quality solutions, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Efficiency Champion: Driving strategic initiatives to improve development workflow, reduce TOIL, and champion engineering efficiency for the team and services.
Best Practices: Championing and adopting Engineering best practices and contributing to cross-domain technology forums.
System Health: Proactively contributing to the System Health and Tech debt backlog and continuously improving software quality to reduce incidents over time.
Operational Readiness: Being an effective on-call responder and maintaining/patching systems as required.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Experience with React Native (highly valued), TypeScript, Javascript, Node.js, Next.js, and React.js.
Highly regarded experience with MongoDB and familiar with Document and Relational data persistence models.
Experience designing scalable software solutions for either highly trafficked customer-facing websites or complex mobile apps.
Experience working with common Cloud Platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and experience with distributed applications in the cloud.
Experience working with Tech leads to optimise engineering practices, implementing DevOps practices and CI/CD, and working in Agile environments.
Experience mentoring more junior engineers and working effectively within cross-functional teams (Product, Design, Tech).
