The Role

As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer in our Vendor Portal team, you'll play a key role in building and scaling one of the core customer experiences within Traild Pay, our modern payments platform.

The Vendor Portal enables suppliers to securely access real-time information about invoices, payment status, reconciliation details, and other self-service capabilities, giving them greater transparency and reducing friction throughout the accounts payable process. As Traild Pay continues to grow globally, you'll help shape and deliver new features that create meaningful value for both our customers and their suppliers.

Working across Go on the backend and JavaScript, React and Next.js on the frontend, you'll build scalable, cloud-native applications running on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You'll work alongside Product, Design and Engineering in a fast-paced product environment where engineers are trusted to own problems from idea through to production.

If you enjoy building polished user experiences, solving challenging technical problems, and working in a high-performing team with ambitious goals and clear milestones, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build and own full stack features across the Vendor Portal within Traild Pay.

  • Create intuitive, responsive user experiences using JavaScript, React and Next.js.

  • Build scalable backend services in Go, deployed on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

  • Collaborate closely with Product, Design and Engineering to shape solutions from discovery through to production.

  • Take ownership of technical decisions, balancing speed, quality and long-term maintainability.

  • Mentor and support other engineers through collaboration, code reviews and knowledge sharing.

  • Continuously improve engineering practices, testing, observability and delivery processes.

Who You Are

  • Strong commercial experience building modern web applications with JavaScript/TypeScript, React and Next.js.

  • Experience building backend services using a modern typed language such as Go, C# or Java.

  • Experience developing cloud-native applications on GCP, AWS or Azure.

  • A product engineering mindset, with experience delivering customer-facing software from concept through to production.

  • Experience working with APIs, distributed systems, relational and NoSQL databases.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, observability and modern engineering practices.

  • A collaborative engineer who enjoys working closely with designers, product managers and fellow engineers.

  • Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with ambitious goals, clear objectives and a strong sense of ownership.

  • A genuine passion for building products that deliver exceptional customer experiences.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
