Hi, we’re PEXA
Every time a house is bought, sold or refinanced in Australia your lawyer, conveyancer and lender will most likely use a digital platform to settle your property, this is where we come in. PEXA’s world-first digital settlement platform has revolutionised the way we exchange property in Australia helping over 20,000 people a week safely settle their homes.

Since starting our journey in 2010, we now employ a team of over 1,000 people working across multiple continents. We’re still growing, innovating and looking ahead, but behind our greatest achievements, there is a team of curious creators and big thinkers. That’s why, we’re looking for ambitious people like yourself to join the team.

A day in the life

As a Technology Senior Risk Analyst, you’ll work alongside people across PEXA to help strengthen how we identify, understand and manage technology risk. No two days are the same — one day you might be partnering with engineering teams to review controls, and the next you could be supporting a risk workshop, helping investigate an incident, or preparing insights for leadership reporting.

You’ll build strong relationships across technology and business teams, helping people understand risk in a practical and supportive way. You’ll ask thoughtful questions, spot patterns and emerging issues, and help teams make informed decisions that keep our platforms secure, resilient and reliable.

In this role, you will:

  • Partner with technology and business stakeholders to identify and assess technology and operational risks
  • Review controls and analyse data to provide practical risk insights and recommendations
  • Support incident management activities, including root cause analysis and issue tracking
  • Contribute to risk reporting, governance materials and presentations for leaders and committees
  • Help maintain and improve our governance, risk and compliance (GRC) processes and systems
  • Facilitate conversations that build awareness and understanding of risk across the organisation
  • Continuously look for opportunities to improve processes, reporting and ways of working

About the role

The Technology Senior Risk Analyst plays an important role in supporting PEXA’s technology risk management framework and helping our teams deliver secure, resilient and trusted platforms for our customers.

Working closely with the Head of Technology Risk and stakeholders across the business, you’ll help embed strong risk practices into day-to-day operations while supporting a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

We’re looking for someone who brings curiosity, strong analytical thinking and a collaborative mindset. You don’t need to tick every box to apply — if this role excites you and your experience aligns in part, we’d love to hear from you.

Key capabilities include:

  • Experience in technology risk, compliance, audit or operational risk environments
  • Understanding of technology controls and risk frameworks such as ISO 31000, ISO27001 or NIST CSF
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends and risk insights
  • Ability to build trusted relationships and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and practical outcomes

Success in the first 6–12 months could look like:

  • Building strong partnerships with technology and business teams across PEXA
  • Contributing meaningful insights into technology risk assessments, reporting and governance activities
  • Supporting the uplift and consistent use of risk and control processes across teams
  • Helping improve visibility and tracking of issues, incidents and remediation activities
  • Becoming a trusted and approachable partner for technology risk guidance and support

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
