Join us as a Senior Research Manager and take the lead in shaping the future of financial services solutions. As a pivotal member of our team, you’ll work closely with the Product Manager and Head of Product to define, prioritize, and execute a dynamic product roadmap. You’ll transform market research, user feedback, and performance data into actionable strategies that enhance our products’ value proposition and align with the broader goals of Iress and the Wealth business unit.

You’ll champion our products with confidence, advocating for their unique value while continuously monitoring performance and driving improvements to deliver maximum impact for stakeholders. Some of the awesome things you’ll be involved with:

  • Team Leadership - Manage and lead a team of Research Analysts, who provide comparative insights on insurance, retirement, and wealth accumulation products, and Product Analysts, who ensure seamless integration between research findings and product delivery.

  • Research Development - Oversee the development and maintenance of robust research methodologies for financial services products, ensuring compliance with legislation updates in Australia and New Zealand.

  • Qualitative Analysis - Conduct in-depth qualitative analysis of life insurance terms and conditions to facilitate the timely release of research updates.

  • Product Updates - Support the updating of retirement and wealth accumulation products, ensuring research changes are implemented on schedule.

  • Regulatory Compliance - Serve as the Responsible Manager for the relevant AFSL, ensuring Research Analysts are well-trained and maintain expertise in providing accurate comparative data.

  • Quality Assurance - Oversee quality assurance processes by conducting sample checks of research updates, monitoring adherence to standard procedures, identifying areas for improvement, and evaluating the performance of the quality management system.

What you will bring:

  • Experience working within financial services with an understanding of Financial Advice.

  • In depth knowledge of the financial services industry, including the ability to interpret financial product terms and conditions at a highly technical level.

  • Working knowledge of data-driven product management.

  • Strategic and commercial, driving for results.

  • Having strong collaboration skills with a range of stakeholders to ensure solutions will solve problems.

  • Excellent communication skills, having the ability to understand & articulate the complexity of hard problems.
