Location: Australia [Preferably Melbourne/Sydney] | Hybrid

What You Will Get To Do:
  • Own and manage the end-to-end release lifecycle across development, test, staging, and production environments.
  • Lead release planning cycles including calendars, cutover planning, and deployment readiness assessments.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery of release commitments.
  • Conduct release risk assessments and enforce governance and change management controls.
  • Oversee incident management, post-release validation, and continuous improvement actions.
  • Act as the escalation point for release blockers, environment constraints, and conflicting priorities.
  • Drive standardisation, optimisation, and automation of release processes and tooling.
  • Provide clear communication and reporting on release status, risks, and impacts.
  • Lead governance forums and represent Release Management in CAB meetings.
What You Will Bring:
  • Extensive experience in Release Management, DevOps, or technical delivery roles.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stream enterprise releases.
  • Experience with governance frameworks, risk management, and change controls.
  • Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and decisive during high-pressure release windows.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Prior Knowledge and Skills:
  • Experience with cloud platforms, enterprise infrastructure, and security controls.
  • Exposure to environment governance, versioning, and release automation.
  • Experience supporting audit, regulatory, and operational risk requirements.
  • Background in high-paced, regulated enterprise environments.
  • Experience mentoring or coaching junior release managers.
