About the role
As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in driving quality results across the Technology, Strategy and Delivery teams. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and product owners, fostering an automation-first mindset and championing best-practice quality engineering. This is a hands-on position that combines technical expertise, contributes to the automation framework, and helps foster innovation, accelerate delivery, and minimise risk.

Day-to-day, you will:
Analyse requirements and user stories, create Test Scenarios and Automated Test Scripts with TOSCA for automation and qTEST for manual.
Manual and Automated Test Executions in accordance with Test Plan and TCoE QA standards and framework.
Ensure Test Traceability is maintained between Requirements and Tests.
Provide inputs into Test Plans
Create Test Harness, Stubs, Test Data requirements and generation,
Provide application testing SME & knowledge to Transurban Business and Technology teams as required, including vendors and third parties.
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Work within an Agile squad for the delivery of QE
Provide input to the test estimate for Bau/project automated and manual testing activities across Agile/Hybrid delivery methodologies.
This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional multi-company team environment and communicate with clients and internal stakeholders.
Tertiary education - Bachelor Computing/Engineering/Science /Technology or equivalent full-time industry experience
Experience in TOSCA automation, Test engineer / Integration Test Analyst role in large complex transformation projects.
Experience working with Testing tools, QTest, TOSCA, JIRA/Confluence, Jenkins
Possess in-depth experience in all areas of the SDLC/STLC
Strong Software testing background with experience in all test levels
Experience working with Agile, Hybrid and Waterfall delivery.
Extensive experience in the Testing of complex integrated platforms (Onboarding, Transactional, Customer & Billing, Payments) or similar technologies) – E.g. Oracle CCB, Fusion
Experience in testing API's testing using TOSCA
Experience in cloud testing
Open to adapting AI.
