Job SummaryTYLin is seeking a Senior Project Manager with deep expertise in rail and transit infrastructure, specifically related to MTA Construction & Development (C&D) projects. This is an opportunity to lead the design and delivery of transformative public transportation projects across the New York City region — from stations to track infrastructure — and shape the future of urban mobility.The ideal candidate brings 15+ years of progressive experience in delivering complex transit projects and holds either a Professional Engineer (PE) or Licensed Architect (AIA) credential. You will serve as a trusted client liaison, team leader, and project delivery expert for high-profile initiatives within the MTA’s capital program.Responsibilities & Qualifications
What You’ll Do:
Lead multidisciplinary teams in the design and delivery of transit infrastructure or station projects in compliance with MTA C&D standards.
Serve as the primary point of contact with clients (including MTA, LIRR, Metro-North, NYCT) and manage stakeholder engagement throughout all project phases.
Oversee all aspects of project execution: scope, schedule, budget, QA/QC, risk management, and team performance.
Provide technical and strategic guidance to internal teams and subconsultants.
Manage and mentor junior staff and contribute to a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
Support proposal development, including scoping, resource planning, and fee estimation, especially for pursuits related to MTA C&D.
Coordinate with contractors and agency partners for design-build and alternative delivery projects.
What You’ll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture (Master’s preferred).
Professional Engineer (PE-NY) or Registered Architect (AIA-NY) required.
Minimum of 15 years of experience, with at least 5 years managing MTA C&D transit station or infrastructure design projects.
Proven track record managing large, multidisciplinary transportation projects in active rail environments.
Deep knowledge of MTA design standards, stakeholder expectations, and capital program delivery methods.
Excellent communication, team leadership, and client management skills.
Familiarity with design-build, CM/GC, or other alternative delivery models is a strong plus.

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $160,000 - $220,000 annually for this position and local market.
