Due to continuous growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a skilled (L3) Senior Project Engineer-Systems to join our high performing Professional Services Team. 

This role will be based in Melbourne, open to consider Sydney or Brisbane for an exceptional candidate.  

Requirements
  • Provide advanced 3rd levels of Proactive Systems Engineering Infrastructure support and service our customers from a proactive lens.   
  • Mentor L3 Systems Engineers, be escalation point for L3 support/BAU engineers and provide guidance where needed. 10% of time will be to assist Managed Services when required. 
  • Log time daily for all your work as per the standards defined by your team leader. This includes billable time and non-billable time via ITSM tools.  
  • Design and implementation of Virtualization, MS Windows Domain, Azure IAAS, Office365, Security and backup services as per current best practice in the industry  
  • Develop High/Low Level design, planning and migration documents across multiple technologies  
  • In collaboration with the Project Manager, ensure solutions are being delivered in line with design, statement of work and scheduling milestones  
  • Systems design, configuration, testing, and cutover is done to ensure delivered solution is scalable, secure, redundant, and reliable  
  • Deliver technical projects individually and as a Team.  
  • Resolve incidents related to project activities as per Ticket SLA  
  • Adhere to Incident and Change Management processes as per blueAPACHE/customer standards (ITIL Framework).  
  • Identify road-blockers and provide alternate approach and/or escalate to engineering manager if required  
  • Manage project plans and deliver work to agreed priorities, manage own workload to achieve results to agreed standards and within agreed time frames, provide reports of progress as required to engineering and project managers  
  • Provide relevant Project Artefacts (AS-BUILT, Detailed Design and Planning Document, UAT, etc) to Project Manager.  
  • Tertiary Education e.g. Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree or at least 5+ years in a System Engineer role specialising in Wintel, VMware, Office365/M365   
  • Previous role with an IT&T System Integrator, Professional Consulting Services, or similar organisation.  
  • Must have current MCSA (or equivalent) certification  
  • Must have at least 2 other vendor related industry certifications  
  • Strong knowledge and industry experience across a range of systems technologies including vendors such as Microsoft/Azure, VMWare, Citrix and HP  
  • Strong understanding and demonstrated experience in the use of following technologies.  
  • Microsoft Server  
  • Microsoft Active Directory (DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, PKI, DFS, NPS etc)  
  • Microsoft Exchange On-premises and Online  
  • Microsoft Office M365 (MAM, MDM, Defender, AD Connect, MFA, etc)  
  • Microsoft Azure IAAS & PAAS  
  • Email Filtering (Mimecast, Trend)  
  • Server Hardware (HP, Cisco, Dell)  
  • VMware vSphere (Multi host Server Virtualization)  
  • Anti-Virus technologies (Defender, Trend)  
  • Industry experience working within the ITIL framework (ITIL certifications highly regarded)
