Manages projects in the context with full responsibility for the results and drives the development of products, solutions and/or services that are right on time and competitive in the marketplace or drives research that ensures Siemens' technological lead position. The preferred candidate is based in Halifax, Nova Scotia or Winnipeg, Manitoba (Hybrid role).A cross functional Project Manager position, focusing on Processes, best practices and Tooling for efficient and timely product releases for delivering new or upgrading existing products.
In this position you will
- Work with a cross functional team to define and manage medical software development project plans that adhere to SHS’s product design and development procedures;
- Create/collaborate on applicable project documents (i.e. design & development plan, risk management plan etc.);
- Track, report and analyze overall project progress and other metrics;
- Work with other project managers globally to recommend or implement process quality improvements.
- perform all required management responsibilities, including working with other project managers globally to recommend or implement process quality improvements and related Tooling and implementing the company's policies, programs, and guidelines.
- Must possess the ability, competence, and confidence to lead people, and have effective interpersonal skills.
Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Proficient in technical writing,
- Utilizing business tools such as Microsoft Office and project management tools such as Monday.com/MS Project, Tempus, etc.
- Experience with HCM (e.g., Workday) or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.
- Working knowledge of MS Team Foundation Server / Azure DevOps and JAMA will be an asset.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) and/or 3-8 years of related experience or Master’s / PhD Degree with 2-5 years of related experience.
- Desired work experience would include working for a software development or engineering company in roles involving Project Management, Software Development or Engineering.
