About the roleIf you love taking on big, complex challenges that have a real impact on how products move across Australia, this is one of those rare opportunities. You’ll lead large‑scale, multi‑site supply chain technology programs that genuinely shape how we support our customers and our teams every day — A million ways to make an impact. You’ll be at the centre of one of Bunnings’ most important transformation programs, working closely with supply chain operations, technology specialists and partner vendors. With new tech being rolled out, multiple sites in play, and plenty of puzzle‑solving along the way, you’ll be part of a team that’s all about collaboration, continuous learning, and Inspiring you to give it a red hot go.What’s involvedIn this role, you’ll have the chance to:
  • Lead the delivery of multi‑year, multi‑site warehouse technology programs that shift how our supply chain operates day‑to‑day.
  • Shape roadmaps, rollout plans and operational readiness activities for major WMS transformations.
  • Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with senior leaders across Technology, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and Safety.
  • Uplift delivery practices across the team — strengthening frameworks, governance, coaching rhythms and ways of working.
  • Guide complex design, build, testing, integration and site‑by‑site deployments with a steady hand.
  • Keep the program humming with clear reporting, disciplined cadence, strong vendor management and well‑managed risks.
  • Support large operational cutovers and stabilisation periods so new ways of working land smoothly on the ground.
  • Create simple, executive‑ready insights that help leaders make the right decisions at the right time
About youYou’ll thrive here if you’re someone who enjoys leading through complexity with confidence and calm. You’re a relationship‑builder who brings people together, listens well and creates clarity — especially when things get busy. You love seeing others grow and succeed, and you’re the type of leader who lifts capability across a whole program, not just your own remit. You’re strategic but hands‑on, comfortable engaging with senior leaders one moment and deep in delivery conversations the next. Most importantly, you bring a supportive mindset that aligns with our team culture: open, collaborative and always willing to lend a hand. What you’ll need
  • Extensive experience leading large, complex supply chain programs, preferably across multi‑site WMS or warehouse technology transformations.
  • Strong understanding of warehousing and fulfilment operations, inventory flows, labour models and operational change.
  • Demonstrated success leading and uplifting large delivery teams, including coaching future PMs and delivery leads.
  • Experience managing high‑value ($20M–$40M+) programs with multiple vendors and operational dependencies.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen across capital/Opex planning, SI contracts, licensing and forecasting.
  • Confidence working with executives, including chairing SteerCo sessions and navigating high‑stakes decisions.
  • Clear, engaging communication and storytelling skills, with an ability to simplify complex messages.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira/ADO, Confluence, PPM dashboards and modern collaboration platforms.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Technology or a related field (certifications in PM/Agile are a bonus).

You’ll be part of a workplace where you’ll feel like you belong.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
