About the role:

We’re looking for a Senior Product Researcher to lead user research initiatives that drive product innovation and enhance user experience across our platform. In this role, you’ll design and execute research studies ranging from exploratory interviews and diary studies to usability testing and survey to uncover actionable insights. Your findings will directly influence product strategy, feature prioritisation, and design decisions. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and fellow researchers to ensure our products are intuitive, valuable, and aligned with user needs. We work hybrid in Melbourne.

Your contribution will be:

  • Develop and write research plans that align with product goals and timelines
  • Design and conduct both primary (e.g., interviews, usability tests, diary studies) and secondary (e.g., competitive analysis, literature reviews) research to understand user needs, behaviours, and pain points
  • Recruit and manage participants for research activities
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research using methods such as interviews, diary studies, usability tests, and surveys
  • Analyse and synthesise findings into clear, actionable insights
  • Deliver tailored research reports and presentations to stakeholders across the business
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align research with product and business goals
  • Track and measure user satisfaction and usability over time
  • Contribute to the growth of our research practice, including exploring the use of AI in research

To be successful, we think you need:

  • 5+ years UX/Product research experience, ideally in a SaaS environment
  • Strong qualitative research skills and familiarity with a range of methodologies
  • Proven experience conducting research with external customers
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Passion for technology, AI, and solving complex user problems
  • A curious, empathetic, and strategic thinker
  • Ability to work adjusted hours (6am/7am start to sync with your US team)

What’s in it for you?

Nintex has a hybrid working model, enabling us to build culture, learn, and grow together. We intentionally connect and collaborate, while emphasizing flexibility with a blend of at-home and in-office work. This role is a hybrid role in our local Nintex office.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
