The Opportunity

The Product Manager is the enabler for Kami to deliver customer-loved features and functions! You will be a guru at identifying customer pain points, market opportunities, and using data to measure the success and performance of the product.


You’ll be a conduit for all cross-functional team members, facilitating the collaboration between product marketing, UXUI designers, engineers and other team members to enable successful product development and delivery.
This opportunity is based in our fully renovated Auckland office. We have a hybrid arrangement of Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in office. Tuesdays and Thursdays are work from home.


What You’ll Do

Define and own the product strategy —

  • Have a customer centric mindset, identifying customer pain points, emerging trends, and market opportunities to inform product direction.
  • Translate requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria and success metrics.
  • Balance user needs, technical feasibility, and commercial goals.
  • Ensure the product delivers meaningful value to users, differentiates in the market, and contributes to the company’s long-term strategy and success.

Own product delivery and execution —

  • Frame the product strategy into delivery, and manage the delivery until the product is released
  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring it reflects that latest business needs and market conditions
  • Own the delivery progress and navigate roadblocks and risks effectively to meet timeline milestones

Partner cross-functionally —

  • Work closely with product marketing, UXUI designers, and engineers to define problems, scope solutions, and develop detailed requirements for new features and product improvements.
  • Establish team delivery cadence and rituals, facilitating these as required 
  • Communicative effectively with stakeholders on product updates, milestones, and performance metrics
  • Provide training and support to sales, marketing, and customer support teams.

Product launch and adoption —

  • Plan and execute product launches in collaboration with marketing and sales teams.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies and materials including support content.
  • Monitor product performance and user feedback, implementing improvements as neede


What You’ll Bring

  • Degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, Business, Marketing or a related field. 
  • 7+ years of experience as a Product Manager/Owner within a SaaS or edtech environment.
  • Strong knowledge of UX, accessibility and driving B2C and B2B product growth
  • Proven ability to deliver successful products with product management best practices.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • High level of initiative and self-motivation, and fun to work with!
  • Passion to use your talents in an impactful way and a passion for education
