Each year sales reps around the world collectively earn over $300 billion in commissions for their efforts. Despite this scale, calculating, communicating and reporting on commissions is a painful challenge for the majority of companies. Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) software seeks to solve this problem, but the legacy ICM vendors have failed to deliver on their promises and businesses and sales teams remain frustrated with their sales comp programs.

As a Senior Product Designer, you will play a leading role in shaping the future of our product. You will be hands-on, owning and executing the entire product design process as the design leader in your Product Trio—where Product, Design and Engineering are equal partners in product development. There is significant scope within our large and complex product to have impact and fundamentally reimagine key workflows our customers interact with everyday.
In a typical week, you might have:
- Met with a customer to learn about how they’re using our product
- Prototyped a flow in Figma to address a customer pain point
- Sought feedback from internal customers and stakeholders on early concepts
- Partnered with a Product Manager and Engineering Lead to kick off initiative discovery
- Provided support to an Engineer who is cutting code on one of your initiatives
- Designed a few new components for our token-based Design System—‘Electric’
You’ll be part of our Experience Design team based in Melbourne, Australia which is led by the Senior Director of Experience Design. As a senior member of this team, you will have the opportunity to shape our design practice, purpose and process and mentor less experienced designers as we continue to grow.
You will help us refine our ways of working that ensure the customer remains at the centre, and partner with your cross-functional peers to ensure they share the same deep understanding of customer needs as you do.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading the end to end design process. Own, plan and execute all design activities from research through to delivery.
- Understanding customer needs. Dive headfirst into our domain, product and customer needs to develop solutions that users will love.
- Solving tricky interaction problems. Sketch out thoughtful, elegant solutions, work them into interaction models, task flows, wireframes and prototypes to refine with further customer input.
- Driving significant user experience improvement. Collaborate with Product and Engineering to ship significant enhancements and drive toward our product vision.
- Exploring future concepts. Reimagine key flows in our application to better align with user needs and future trends.
- Shaping our design practice, process and tooling. Contribute to the evolution of our token-based design system and shape ways of working that keep the customer at the centre.
What we’re looking for
- Seasoned senior—you’ve worked in multiple industries and complex domains, are confident in your process and ability to lead others
- Demonstrated B2B SaaS software design experience
- Proven ability to understand and effectively design for complex, data-driven applications
- Experience working across all phases of product development, from insight to execution and producing relevant design artefacts (e.g. wireframes, prototypes, detailed UI, journey maps)
- Proven ability to lead initiatives independently
- Deep knowledge of interaction patterns for software
- Experience contributing to or creating token-based design systems (e.g. Figma Tokens)
- Desire to challenge the status quo and maturity to know when to compromise
- Willingness to work at all levels of detail, from helping evolve our product strategy to writing microcopy
- Respect for and ability to collaborate well with team members from all disciplines
- A high degree of professional maturity—the ability to independently prioritise, manage time well, effectively set expectations and deliver consistently
Work Environment
We take advantage of flexible working arrangements. Some of us work full time from home, others prefer the office. We’re open to either, or a combination of both. We also like to get together in-person at least once per quarter for key team events. Our Melbourne office is a lovely, plant-filled space in the heart of the CBD in The Cluster, conveniently located just near Flinders Street Station.
