With more than 15 years of adventures in prop-tech, Kolmeo gives real estate agencies around Australia the right tools and technology to perfectly balance the experience. We’re not some startup guessing our way through growth — we’re scaling off real traction and growing customer demand.
So what's the gig?
Kolmeo is looking for a Senior Product Designer to define and own customer experience outcomes across our core Property Manager (PM) experience.
You'll work closely across Product & Design, Technology, Delivery, and Customer teams, setting direction for your slice of the product experience end to end, and seeing it come to life. You'll bring your experience to mentor and coach other designers and product people, lifting the design thinking capability of the team as you go.
We want someone who can drive a strong experience roadmap, seeing its deliverables through design and delivery, leveraging AI tooling to get creative with new ways of working and challenge the status quo for the better.
Our ideal candidate
You're passionate about seamless product experiences and are comfortable owning the success and commercial outcomes of these experiences.
You're decisive when there is minimal information, and know how to turn ambiguous, messy discovery into a clear vision for the product experience.
You're already using AI tools like Claude as part of how you work day to day to make yourself more efficient without outsourcing your thinking and core problem solving skills which are inherently human.
You're comfortable systemising the way you work and are keen to keep adapting and improving that system as the tools and the work evolve with new technology. You should also be comfortable scrutinising AI by driving constructive conversations around what it should and shouldn’t be used for.
What you'll do:
- Be the authority on the full product experience with the depth of context needed to make good decisions and give the team clear direction
- Elevate the design thinking of those around you, mentoring and developing team members by sharing craft expertise across the disciplines to lift team capability and consistency of practice
- Set clear goals and definitions of success for the work you lead, ensuring the team knows what they are working toward and why.
- Build strong relationships across the business so that what we build is informed by the right people at the right time, using tools like workshops, presentations, and collaborative sessions to create alignment and drive decisions, not to report on them.
- Actively seek out customer insight to turn signals into a clear and current picture of what users need.
- Define success metrics and partner with Delivery to translate approved work into release plans, staying accountable to timelines and making scope trade-offs early rather than late.
- Work closely with technical teams to ensure what we build is technically sound, scalable, and well-considered, bringing them in early and keeping them close through definition and delivery.
- Work closely with the Executive Manager - Product to help shape our roadmap and backlog with sharp prioritisation, balancing customer impact, business value, and delivery effort.
- Own what is going to add value to customers, and be the decision-maker on scope and trade-offs to give the team clarity while staying comfortable with ambiguity as understanding develops.
- Own and maintain product personas, user journey maps, and service blueprints related to your experience area, keeping them current and actively referenced by the team.
- Use AI tooling actively as part of daily practice, applying it to accelerate research, documentation, prototyping, and story definition, and model this approach across the team.
You'll succeed if you:
- Have 7+ years' experience in Product Design or Product Management, with 3-4 as a senior, or equivalent demonstrated experience
- Are quick to build deep context in a new domain, able to get up to speed on property management and apply that understanding to make better product decisions faster.
- Think strategically and acts decisively, able to cut through competing priorities and make clear calls on what matters and what does not.
- Have experience across the full product lifecycle, from shaping early-stage ideas through to mature product optimisation and knows what good looks like at each stage.
- Can confidently resolve complex technical and business problems, drawing on the right people and the right information to move forward without getting stuck.
- Demonstrated evidence of using AI tools (such as Claude, Copilot, or similar) day-to-day to produce higher-quality work faster, and able to build or prompt lightweight AI-assisted artefacts and prototypes
- Proven ability to own and deliver against hard deadlines, making sound scope and quality trade-offs without losing sight of the outcome
- Are a skilled facilitator, able to run discovery, definition, and alignment sessions that move things forward and leave people with clarity on what happens next.
- Fluency in modern product discovery practices, including continuous discovery, jobs-to-be-done, MVP definition, feature slicing, and iterative delivery.
- Have strong data and analytics fluency, including the ability to define instrumentation needs, interpret product usage data, and connect metrics to commercial outcomes
- Thrive in a fast-paced, high-change environment, able to stay focused and effective when priorities shift and information is incomplete.
