Job DescriptionAbout the role
As a Senior Product Designer reporting to the Design Lead, Selection, you'll join a collaborative team of designers focused on the Post-Apply Selection space at SEEK in this 10-month fixed term contract role. Working within cross-functional squads, you'll create high-quality product experiences that solve design problems at scale as SEEK continues to evolve and globalise platforms across eight markets in Asia-Pacific. Your expertise in interaction design, visual design and collaborative product development will be essential.
You'll design the end-to-end hiring experience that begins once a job ad goes live, helping hirers review candidates, make informed decisions and progress them through the hiring process. This is a complex and rewarding problem space involving multiple workflows, signals and decision points that directly impact how thousands of businesses find the right talent. Your work will focus on translating complex product requirements into clear, intuitive and polished user experiences.
This role emphasises deep research, thoughtful interaction design and high-quality visual execution. You'll partner closely with product managers, engineers and fellow designers in a friendly, collaborative environment where your contribution will help hirers make better hiring decisions.
Responsibilities
- Lead UX and design activities within your squad from problem framing through to detailed interaction design and high-fidelity delivery.
- Design clear and intuitive workflows that support complex hiring decisions and collaboration between hirers.
- Produce high-quality visual design and interaction specifications that enable engineers to deliver polished product experiences.
- Advocate for the user by grounding design decisions in research, data and product insights.
- Partner closely with Product Manager, Tech Lead and other designers to shape product ideas, understand trade-offs and deliver practical solutions.
- Continuously iterate on designs based on product outcomes, user feedback and success metrics.
- Communicate insights and design solutions clearly through strong storytelling and visual artefacts.
- Contribute to and evolve the design system to ensure consistency and scalability across brands and markets.
Skills and experience
- Strong experience in interaction design and designing complex product workflows with excellent visual design craft and attention to detail.
- Experience producing high-fidelity screen designs, clear interaction specifications and using prototyping tools to communicate behavior and transitions.
- Ability to translate research insights and product requirements into intuitive design solutions with strong stakeholder management skills.
- Experience designing for online marketplaces or complex interaction systems and SaaS or enterprise-style applications highly regarded.
- Experience working with design systems and creating scalable UI patterns.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted design tools or AI-powered product experiences is advantageous.
- Strong written, verbal and visual communication skills for working with distributed teams.
