Your role requires collaboration, working in a cross-functional team that consists of engineers, and graphic designers to build and maintain Piktochart’s multifaceted web application.

As a Senior Product Designer, you are expected to deliver concrete end-to-end solutions that take into account the best user experience and user interface practices by keeping the company goals in mind. Running user interviews & research, defining the problem, wireframes, user flows, high-fidelity UI Design and figuring out complex problems that can be implemented by engineers should be by default in your skillset.

You identify and detail real user needs. You conceptualize, craft, and deliver actual user experiences, balancing the user needs and the business goals. You will report to the Head of UX.

What Your Work Will Entail:

  • Define the product experience – From wireframes to prototypes, you will create intuitive and elegant solutions that simplify complex user challenges.
  • Act as the user advocate – You’ll conduct research, lead user testing sessions, and ensure the product roadmap aligns with both user needs and business objectives.
  • Conceptualize and design engaging UX solutions – Your work will include generating innovative design ideas, developing detailed user flows, and collaborating closely with engineering to bring designs to life.
  • Ensure seamless execution – You’ll oversee implementation with clear documentation, usability testing, and continuous iteration based on feedback and data insights.

What You Bring To This Role:

  • 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design, preferably within SaaS or web applications.
  • A strong ability to identify user pain points and transform them into seamless, intuitive experiences.
  • A deep understanding of user-centered design principles and their impact on business success.
  • Expertise in ideation techniques, enabling you to quickly generate and refine original design concepts.
  • The ability to work independently and prioritize effectively in a fast-moving environment with tight deadlines.
  • A collaborative mindset, ensuring smooth coordination across design, product, and engineering teams.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
