Reporting to the GM Product & Commercial, we are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Portfolio Manager to lead and optimise our personal and auto loans portfolio.
In this role, you will leverage your financial services expertise, focusing on loan products, to design, manage, monitor, and optimize portfolio performance and profitability. You will enhance customer experiences and support the growth of the loans business alongside the Product Management team.
The role would suit someone who has portfolio management experience (preferably in financial services), a strong analytical mindset, and a commitment to delivering customer value.
Let’s look at some key responsibilities:

Overseeing the loans portfolio, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals and customer needs.

Monitor, analyse, and report on portfolio performance, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

Design and implement strategies for portfolio growth and optimisation, focusing on risk-adjusted returns and customer life-time value.

Working with the Product team on offer-development to drive growth in the portfolio (including Top-Up, Retention, Redraw and X-sell offers)

Working with Product and Marketing to translate new customer management programs into marketing execution plans.

Undertake a value driven approach to monitor program performance at a campaign and offer level and make necessary adjustments via a robust test and learn approach

Track key portfolio metrics to measure the success of launched initiatives
Ideally, we're looking for the following:

Over 5 years working experience in banking and financial industry (Loans experience desirable but other financial services product experience is suffice)

Previous experience in a portfolio management role is highly desirable

Demonstrated experience identifying opportunities to improve customer and business outcomes and drive customer behavioural change though campaign execution and/or capability build.

Strong financial acumen and a deep understanding of customer drivers, behaviours and P&L

Good understanding of loan receivables and marketing platforms and processes

Strong business acumen and initiative management skills

Highly analytical with strong numeric sense

Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements

Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate

Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills

Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
