The Senior Payments Operations Analyst will support daily operations, settlements, and reconciliations across our global payment gateways and offices. This role is responsible for liaising with international partners to ensure seamless fund settlement and optimal gateway performance. You will lead the end-to-end integration of new Payment Service Providers (PSPs), from sandbox testing to KYC onboarding, while collaborating with Finance to analyse and optimize fee structures. As a senior member of the team, you will act as a key point of contact for stakeholders and provide mentorship to junior staff.
What you will be doing:
Payments Infrastructure & PSP Management
- Own and optimise relationships with global PSPs, gateways and banking partners.
- Lead PSP selection, onboarding, KYC and ongoing performance management.
Integration & Testing
- Lead integration and sandbox testing of new PSPs with Engineering and Finance.
- Ensure transaction accuracy, stability and readiness pre go-live.
Operations & Settlement
- Oversee daily payment operations including deposits, withdrawals, settlements and funding flows.
- Coordinate with Treasury on liquidity and settlement management.
Reconciliation & Controls
- Oversee daily, weekly and monthly reconciliations.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies, ensuring strong control environment.
Data & Reporting
- Maintain accurate payment data across volumes, fees and performance.
- Support monthly reporting and cost analysis across PSPs.
Process Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies and drive optimisation across payment routing, cost, and success rates.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as key liaison across Finance, Treasury, Engineering and senior management.
Requirements
- Demonstrated previous Settlements/Reconciliation experience within a fast-paced financial services environment.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
- A pro-active, fast learner who is reliable, accountable, and can work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
- High-level written and verbal communication skills and strong relationship-building abilities.
- A positive "can-do" attitude and a commitment to Eightcap’s values.
- Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders and clients.
Highly Desired:
- Tertiary education in Finance or Accounting.
- Experience with CFD Brokers, treasury, or reconciling complex financial records.
- A genuine understanding of or interest in trading, FX and general finance.
