Our Team

From take-off to landing, Thales offers the most complete range of solutions to provide dynamic Air Traffic Services to support today's growing domestic and international travel requirements. Utilising this knowledge and experience Thales Australia will deliver a harmonised Civil/Military Air Traffic Management System (OneSKY) in Australia to Airservices Australia and Defence. 

This will enable a new level of safety and efficiency, while also reducing delays for the travelling public and providing opportunities to improve environmental outcomes. OneSKY will transform Australia’s sky and we are proud to be partners in its delivery.
 

Your role

As part of our AMS ATC division where we are a global leader in Air Traffic Management systems deploying our commercial product to a number of sites globally; we have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Network Engineer.

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will apply your network engineering skills for the deployment and configuration of network devices across different projects in the APAC region.

This is a permanent position working hybrid, based 3 days a week onsite at our Melbourne CBD office.

Occasional travel outside of Australia required.
 

Requirements

  • Australian Citizenship due to clearance requirements

  • Proven experience in Cisco networks with some formal certification preferred i.e. CCNP

  • Strong competency in Juniper and any certification will be highly regarded i.e. JNCIA etc

  • Network Automation skills – Ansible, Python or similar

  • Able to work on multiple activities con-currently and effectively self-manage delivery

  • The ability to work within a complex environment and within a cohesive team structure

  • The ability to travel
     

A Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.

Additional information with regards to clearances is available from the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency website http://www.defence.gov.au/AGSVA/. In some cases, individuals who hold a current clearance from a foreign government may be eligible to have this clearance recognised by the Australian Government and be eligible for this role. The Australian Defence Trade Controls Act (DTCA) is applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
