Are you ready to take your networking career to the next level? As a Senior Network Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in managing and optimizing our enterprise network infrastructure. From overseeing day-to-day operations and responding to alerts, alarms, and incidents, to driving software upgrades and change management, your expertise will keep our systems running smoothly and securely.

You'll also take charge of improving documentation, enhancing operational reporting, and managing ITSM tickets with precision and efficiency.

What You’ll Do
- Be a key contact for Security (Firewall related changes).
- Performing the duties and follow the processes as assigned for the operation of Datacom’s operational and managed Network environments.
- Troubleshooting, Requests, Incidents and Events. Running and leading incident resolution.
- Analysing network data and reporting tools with a view to providing recommendations on performance improvements to network infrastructures as appropriate.
- Analysing risk and documenting as required.
- Confidently and accurately completing change documentation including description, change steps, backout steps, testing required and detailed timing.
- Leading and completing tasks accurately and in a timely fashion, completing any ITSM and timekeeping records as appropriate.
- Monitoring the performance of the organisation’s communications carriers/network providers in relation to established service level agreements (SLAs) and business needs.
What You’ll Bring
KEY SKILLS
- Knowledge and experience of Azure Firewall (Palo Alto in cloud context if applicable) and Palo Alto Firewall (including Panorama for centralized management).
- Knowledge and experience of Cisco NDFC (Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller), Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine) and Cisco EPNM.
- Knowledge and experience of F5 BIG-IP (LTM/GTM).
- Knowledge and experience of Infoblox (DNS, DHCP, IPAM – Grid Manager).
- Knowledge and experience of FortiProxy.
DESIRABLE SKILLS
- Excellent knowledge of Networking and Firewalling covering Datacentres, Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs).
- Detailed knowledge of the configuration and maintenance of routers (Gateways), interior routing protocols, switches, Firewalls, Security appliances, Wireless infrastructure, Internet, WAN technologies and DNS
- Voice (Webex, Telepresence, SBC).
- Protocols (MPLS, BGP, OSPF).
- Application Delivery Controller (NetScaler, F5).
- Network Security Appliance (ISE, ClearPass, FortiNAC).
- Working knowledge of Wireless, Mobility, Telephony and Cloud Networking.
- Strong working knowledge of Network and Security management environments, including the associated reporting functions.
- An understanding of emerging technologies in the communications sphere and their potential commercial application.
- Operational/Management knowledge of network and security management systems.
- Detailed experience in the configuration and maintenance of networking/security appliances/communications. infrastructure/Datacentre infrastructure, including the ability to support a variety of technologies within these.
