In this pivotal role as a Senior Network Engineer, you will integrate into a great team of senior network engineers at the forefront of shaping and nurturing our expansive worldwide data center networks.

Your core mandate will involve architecting, designing, implementing, and operating cutting-edge enterprise data solutions, thereby ensuring an impervious security envelope encasing our data centers.

The role challenges you to harmonize efficiency with security, envisaging a network environment that stands not only highly available and automated but also agile, swiftly adapting to evolving needs and technological advancements.

Responsibilities 

Competencies

The holder of the position is responsible for

-              Planning, documenting and performing of network changes/extensions

-           Orchestration/Automation of firewall rules and underlying network settings

-              Designing and documenting the corporate network architecture

-              Data centre network security consultancy for internal departments & projects 

-              Operating and monitoring of the corporate network infrastructure 

-              Providing 2nd level network infrastructure related support

-              Designing network aspects of disaster recovery and operational security

-              Maintaining, auditing and improving corporate network & security standards

-              Performing network related root cause analysis (RCA) and problem resolution

-              Defining, monitoring and reporting KPIs for network services/devices

-              Managing proof of concepts, feasibility studies etc.

-              Investigating into new technologies & security improvements

-              Writing of white papers and documentations

-               Acting as project leader for network related activities/projects

Qualifications and education requirements 

-Relevant network/IT related education (academic degree preferred)

  • Excellent understanding of corporate network & data centre application architecture concepts

-Excellent analysing skills-Scripting/programming/automation skills-Excellent understanding of at least four of the technical areas below:

  • Datacentre security & firewall infrastructure (Multivendor) - mandatory
  • Datacentre network infrastructure (Cisco) - mandatory
  • VPN technologies/infrastructure
  • Network design/management
  • Network automation
  • Network technologies (Layer1-Layer4)

-Good communication & technical writing skills-Good team-player-Independent, goal-oriented and self-motivating personality-Passion to deliver high quality standard levels-Accuracy and high risk awareness-Excellent English language skills (oral & written)-Willingness to perform standby on-calls-Min 5 years of professional experience as datacentre network engineer-Practical experience in enterprise network & security Plan/Build/Run setup-Work experience within an international/multicultural environment preferred-Ability to work with teams distributed in different time zones
